Have you ever asked yourself why people make time for book clubs? On the Give A Book Blog is a great post by guest, Adam Morris. He talks about his love for reading and his hesitation to join a book club until he did. "In an age where free time is worth its weight in gold, you'd think book club is a big ask for anyone." He explains the benefits of book clubs and why they are so great. Most importantly, he shares how many feel, "Book clubs work wonders. For anyone. Whether they're interested in reading or not." Yes, there is solidarity in reading together and sharing your point of view on that specific book the group collectively picks. Â
What are the benefits?
1. You read books you wouldn’t normally pick up.
2. You learn how other readers think, which makes your own reading better.
3. Your knowledge gets a massive boost.
4. You read more than what’s just advertised at the shop
The Miami Springs Woman's Club: Book Club offers a relaxed escape from the daily grind for a wonderful group of women. They enjoy light refreshments, and there's no pressure to finish the book within a month. The club typically meets every two months, but the next meeting is on January 24th, 2025 at 7:00pm at the clubhouse located on 200 Westward Drive. The longer gap between meetings is to accommodate the busy Holiday season, allowing members to enjoy the book at their own pace. Join for a fun, stress-free evening celebrating a shared love for great stories. You're sure to have a great time!
The Book Club's January book selection is The Husbands by Holly Gramazio. Visit our website HERE to learn more about the book and let us know if you'll be joining the discussion.
